Faith Statement
I want to join the church because I believe Jesus died to forgive our sins. God gave his only son so that we may have everlasting life and I would like to take advantage of that. My parents are a big part of my religion, because they brought me to church ever since I was born. I was baptized at Trinity. I believe God sent his one and only son to die for us so that as long as we repent our sins we shall never die but have everlasting life in the glory of heaven, and I want to join Salisbury to be forgiven for my sins. I have gone to Sunday school and Church all my life and was in the choir for four years. I have been involved with the church so long that I really want to join the church as my parents did so many years ago. A meaningful scripture about faith for me is Mark 11:22-26 which reads-22"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." As I said before I believe, Jesus died for us and because of that, I want to join Church.
