Developing a specific goal will help the organization maintain a position without losing the organization's tendency to be distracted by the pressing. Flexibility can be FedEx' strong point, but it can also be their weak point - when flexing becomes the norm, FedEx can look back and confirm that flexing took them where they needed to be. FedEx overarching goal is to have an excellent competitive advantage. They must produce an edge over other organizations in the same industry. In today's economy, every desirable quality counts to maintain or keep the organization on the top of the industry. Increasing one's organization's competitive advantage takes strategic planning and broad study. It is vital for businesses to achieve an effective analysis during the planning process; on the other hand, competitive intelligence also can be very important for selling, pricing, and other strategic planning for the organizations.
Training and development is classified as the process to acquire knowledge and abilities necessary to implement a specific task by every individual. Therefore, the advantage of training for FedEx and its employees is important to have a strategic advancement in the organization.
