  1.  Introduction
  1. “I will put every coal miner out of a job” once said Vyron N. Vasileiadis, head of the European Union’s environmental department, or the department that supervises energy consumption, production, and more importantly, emissions. I don’t know about any of you, but that cuts me deep.
  2. The coal industry, funds school and extra circular activities such as this. Were it not for the money coming into the state due to coal, I have a hard time believing that we would have received this opportunity let alone come here today.
  3. As much as Vyron’s statement offends me, he is right to an extent. As a country we are cutting coal production and consumption (Reference graph 1). As of 2012 44 percent of electricity in the United States is produced by coal. In 2013 it was at 41 percent and as of 2014 38 percent.
  4. With this rapid decline in coal production and consumption that means that other sources of energy have increased in their production right? Wrong. Nuclear production has only increased by half a percent in the last five years, natural gas is only up 1.5 percent in the last three years, and renewable energy sources are only up 1.2 percent. This means that there is less electricity being produced.
  5. Now the 2.8 percent less electricity may not seem like a lot, however according to my math, that 2.8 percent could have powered another 11,940,000 people. But isn’t it a good thing that we’re not producing and wasting as much energy?
  6. Sort of… it’s a tricky issue because yes it’s good to save electricity, however, two factors tell is that now isn’t the time to cut production. The ever increasing population, and the growth of consumption rates. Because of these two factors we’re going to need more electricity.
  7. And if its not being produced through the burning of coal, then it must be produced in some other way. There is another renewable energy source that not many people are aware of. Fixed magnet perpetual motion machines. By educating the yout on this technology, the different types of FMPMMs, and their advantages over other alternative fuel sources, we can help the future Family, Career, and Community leaders of America  make wise energy production decisions.
  1. First, to make sure that the future generations of this country make wise energy related decisions, they need to understand what a FMPMM is. To be considered a fixed magnet perpetual motion machine they need to meet two key standards.
  1. The first is they need to gather all of their energy from the flux density of the magnets.
  1. What this means in a nut shell is that all of the power “generated” has to come from the strength of the magnets. In an essence it is a magnet powered, generator and really that’s all it is. A magnet power generator.\
  1. The other standard to meet in order to qualify as an FMPMM is that the motion needs to be perpetual.
  1. I mean, it’s in the name. Fixed magnet PERPETUAL MOTION machine. For a device to be considered as such the motion needs to be, well, perpetual, or never ending. There are a lot of machines that can run for a while on the flux density of magnets, but this is only after they’ve had a little help getting started. The device needs to be able to support itself entirely.
  1. For the future generations to be able to make wise energy related decisions they must know what an FMPMM is.
  1. Second, to make sure that the future generations of this country make wise decisions regarding FMPMMs they need to know about the different magnet powered devices;
  1. Perhaps the most popular is the Muamer Yildiz FMPMM.
  1.  This is the only fixed magnet perpetual machine in commercial production, and his design is most definitely superior for the time being. It has unparalleled strength and speed and thusly has unparalleled levels of electrical generation.

  1. …which uses the previously mentioned principle of magnetic shielding. By placing iron in front of the magnet you can effectively cancel out all other interfering magnets and their fields. This simple yet complex concept forces the moving magnet to only react to the intended magnets.
  1. Most likely the second most popular type of FMPMM is the V-gate which got its name from its v shaped magnet tracks.
  1. The V-gate takes advantage of the fact that a bar magnets magnetic field is weaker towards the middle. It uses a timed cam to move the stationary bar magnet and prevent it from “sticking” in the middle. They’ve reached their status due to their great strength. They aren’t the fastest spinning but they’re one of the strongest, which allows for them to be geared up to increase the RPMs being put into the generator.

  1. Well, that’s a good question. What advantages does this technology offer over other alternative energy sources.
  1. The biggest factor is the plain practicality of these machines. Wind, tidal, solar, and geothermal power all rely on varying factors, making them predictable only to an extent. Magnets on the other hand, could care less about what the weather is doing. Not to mention their portability. You can’t exactly pack off a wind mill or the hot springs that power your geothermal plant, however you sure can take a magnet powered generator with you.
  1. Another huge advantage this has over other energy sources is the long life of the machines.
  1. Sintered Nd-Fe-B (neodymium) magnets can remain magnetized inevitably. Neodymium magnets are suspected to loose less than one percent of their flux density over 100 years. Bearings and other mechanical aspects of the machine will have worn out long before the magnets will, and honestly servicing your generator would be no different than going and getting your car serviced.
  1. Due to the practicality and long life of FMPMM, they are the perfect candidate for many jobs.
  1. They could be used for a wide variety of things. Any and everything from generator stations on oil pumping units to residential to cars and just about anything else you can think of.
  2. We have particularly played around with the idea of a car powered by magnets. And so we present to you a car that is powered by nothing more than a fixed magnet perpetual motion machine. The V-gate in the back spins which spins a generator which sends the electricity to the batteries for storage and then when needed is sent to the motor with the gear box. A more complete model would have the capability to be constantly charging its battery bank. (Don’t know about you but I’d sure love to never wake up to a dead battery ever again).
