Football the Worlds Sport

I like to play sports. My favorite sport would have to be football, but here in the United States of America it is known as Soccer. I just think that football is the best because it is played world wide. It is one of the hardest sports and players are known around the world not like in basketball, baseball or American football. Like any other sport it is broken into different categories. In football there are five postions. These categories are Goalie, Defender, Midfielder, Striker/Forward, and the Manager. Each position is as important as the other.

Being the Manager of a football team is really hard especially if it is a five star team. To be the Manager of a five star team, you have had to make yourself a name in the sport. A Manager must have a good "resume" in order to take charge of the team. A Manager's background must have a good amount of championships and tournaments won to coach a team. How come the manager has to coach the team if he is the team's manager? The only place in the world where the manager doesn't coach is in the Unites States. Everywhere else in the world, when they are chosen, he also takes charge of coaching the team. The manager helps his scouts by telling them what kind of players he needs for the team. Each manager has their own type of play. They can go from defensive style, counter attack, or be neutral.

Being the Goalie is a very difficult position. The goalie is the backbone of a team. A goalie must block and save all the shots that are kicked toward his goal post. A goalie must be flexible, should be tall and should be able to throw himself into great lengths. One thing that a goalie must have is a very strong kick. The goalie must be able to kick the ball at least three quarters of the field. The goalies must have leadership and sportsmanship. A goalie must also have good reliable and safe hands in order to catch balls going at a fast speed.

To be a Defender, you must be very quick, have a good clean tackle and have your own type of defending. A defender must also have a good pass and a good cross over. A defender must be quick to recover balls and to catch up with the striker. The defender needs to have a good pass because the defense supports the team and the midfielders and strikers with good passing and cross over.

The midfielder is usually the one that balances out the team. A midfielder
