My first example for "Give Them The Pickle" was at Pro Tackle musky shop. I frequently shop during ice fishing season because it is where I get my minnows and all my tackle. Over the years I've gotten to know the owner Stacy very well. One morning I was at the store purchasing some new lures and minnows and I paid for everything, after the transaction was done I realized I forgot to get extra hooks. As the ones that come with the lures are too small, Stacy ended up giving me the hooks for free. Another example from the same store is when I buy minnows they are sold by the dozens and I've always gotten a lot of extra minnows with every purchase. In Trenton there is a gas station that also sells minnows and the owner counts every dozen he sells and never gives any extras. Due to the way the gas station sells their minnows I only go there when I have no other option.

If I were to have my own restaurant, I would make sure my customers were treated with the most respect and kindness that myself and my employees could provide. I would try to differentiate myself from other restaurants by promoting my special offers. For example, I would make sure that if you purchased a meal you would always get the option of having a free coffee or tea with or without a dessert. Dessert would not be free. I would advertise this so people would choose my restaurant over my competitors.
