If God is omniscient, omnipotent, and morally perfect, then how can an idea of God exists if evil exists? Shouldn’t He intervene whenever evil is occurring or going to occur? The only way I see this happening is if God and Evil co-exist, but that cannot be true because God is omnipotence and would have the power to rid of evil, however, he cannot. There are also things that God omnipotence cannot do, which is creating the logically impossible. For example, God would not be able to create a square circle because that would be logically impossible. Also, God wants us to love him with genuine and unconditional love, but if God is omnipotence, then he will have the power to make us love Him, therefore our love to Him will not be genuine. However, God has given us free will to choose if we want to love him or not. On one hand God has given us the choice to use free will and to love him. On the other hand, free will gives us the power to do evil. We also see God as a logical being, so therefore, he cannot prevent the free will that he gave us to prevent us from doing evil and love him at the same time. So, one idea of God that can be there in light of existence is free will right? Well, yes free will does allow for some kind of light to be justified, but only in the sense of moral evil, and that is kind of a stretch. Yes, we do make decision based on ourselves, meaning we can choose to either do evil or love God. However, if it is true that God is omniscient, then all we really have is an illusion of free will. The reason being is that if God did create humans then we are created with the knowledge of every decision, action, and thought that we will make. If that is true, then this leads us that God is responsible for our evil doings. The other side of this is Natural evil. By natural evil I mean earthquakes, tornadoes, cancer, famines, etc. that we as humans have absolutely no control over. Thus, we can say that this part of free choice is not justified because humans have no free will when it comes to this kind of evil.
One way I can see Evil and God co-exist in a world is if God had a moral reason for allowing evil into the world. For instance, and I will use Adam and Eve in this example, when God gave Adam and Eve the ability to have free will, God had to let some evil in, but the evil had to be smaller than the good. This is because if God wanted to get rid of evil, then He had to get rid of the good also. This is because how are we to know what is good without bad, pleasure without pain? This leads to another reason that they can co-exist is because how can we have the good without the bad on earth? For example, we know that total amount of energy of the universe has to be zero. If that is the case then if we have God as +100 then we would have to have an Evil at -100 to balance it all out. Of course, this is the assumption that God and Evil are a part of the cosmos.
