I was in the 6th grade when 9/11 occurred. Being so young I didn't understand the whole concept of the World Trade Center being attacked, yet alone even knowing what the World Trade Center even was. Being older and wiser, tragedies that this usually hit me pretty hard. Is this essay I will provide my views and beliefs and hopefully encourage you to also believe agree with me as why guns should be allowed in school.

Being in the United States Navy, I obviously was taught to protect myself and loved ones. When I had my son back in April, a totally different sense of protection took over me. Whenever I bring this topic up to someone, they automatically imagine a young student with some type of machine gun strapped around them with absolutely no training what so ever. I imagine it a little more realistic. I feel as if there would be fewer tragedies in schools if we had properly trained teachers who are armed with weapons. I think
