1. GUSSCO’S HISTORY

Gussco Manufacturing, Inc was established in 1918 in New York under the name of Guide System and Supply Company, Inc. It’s a small privet family owned and operated company. The company has been with in the family for three generations since its conception. Guide System and Supply Company Inc was initially located in New York City in a loft building on lower Broadway. In 1921 the company moved to Canal Street where at first it only occupied one floor of a six floor building but by the end of 1940’s the company grew and occupied the entire building. In 1955 due to company’s growth, Gussco purchased yet another building so it could expand its operations. In 1967 the company moved its operations to a new single location in Brooklyn New York. In 1997 the company needed to expand its operations once again and it did so by leasing an additional 37,000 sq ft building in Garfield New Jersey. The Garfield plant operations started out with 20 employees and rapidly expanded. The Garfield plant originally was a one shift operation but with in 3 years of its existence it became two shift operations. In 2002 the Garfield plant outgrew the main manufacturing facility in Brooklyn employee and production wise. At this time
