Hope in one Hand

My American dream, kind of a broad topic for some, those masses that have no clue what they are going to do with there lives but still they march, ever forward seeking to some, an unobtainable dream. These people the visionless, the drones who want nothing more than to do the least amount of work with the most amount of pay with the least amount of education that is there American dream. But my American dream is some what different I know that it's possible, even in this age, but made even more gratifying by the countless number of whiny middle of the rode liberals that even with all there governmental programs still don't have the drive to make it possible. Now don't get me wrong I am in know way trying to depict everyone in the middle class in a negative light, I as a matter of fact am as middle class as they come. But I am middle class with an advantage I am middle class with ambition and determination to reach my goals, and the more people say the American dream is dead the more I want to snatch it right from above there heads, just out of there reach but not out of mine. In short cutting all the crap my American dream is to start small with a record store then eventually grow to the level of major electronics store competing with and crushing such big names as circuit city and best buy. Then once I am large enough and strong enough I will branch out in to record labels, first starting my own and then buying out the competition. That is the bass line to my American dream soundtrack.
College, the American institution that only a small percentage of Americans can, or will actually attend , interesting is the fact that most people who start college don't even leave with a degree. But instead with several thousand dollars in student loans and no way to pay them back. College is on the other hand an opportunity of a life time of those of us who made it this far and those that don't, honestly have no idea what there missing. Ignorance with out opportunity is understandable, but ignorance with opportunity is one of the greatest sins. Fortunately for me I have made it this far and will continue to succeed all the way through graduation and into the real job market. A college degree is not technically necessary for my entrepreneurial endeavor, but it will on the other hand help me to get a job in the upper management of a company while getting together enough capital to start a business of my own.
