How My Treatment Has Been Going

My treatment has been going pretty good so far. I thought it would be a lot worse than this. I guess my immune system is pretty strong. I am going to be doing this until spring of next year. I can't complain really, because I don't have it off half as bad as some kids. Some kids won't even make it to next spring due to their illness. That really hurts me to know that information. I really hope the children of the future don't have to experience this kind of pain and hardship. I also get to use "make a wish." I am choosing to take my family to Hawaii when I finish my treatment. When this information was first presented to me, I was kind of in shock, because I had thought that the make a wish foundation was for kids with terminal illnesses. I thought that I had a terminal illness, but they said that they are now letting children use it who are going through chemo therapy. At first, I was tempted to not take it. This is because I thought there were kids who needed it a lot more than I did. They said to take it, so I did. I am thankful to everyone who has helped me through this whole ordeal. The person, who I am thankful for the most though, is my mother. She has been there at my side ever since the beginning. She always looked toward the positive side of things when things were at their most negative. I am so lucky to have someone like that in my family. Some kids don't, and that is terrible. All kids going through this deserve a caring parent at their side to care and nurture them through it all. I guess I am just one of the lucky ones. I am glad to be lucky, but I also feel sad for those unlucky ones. I will work hard to get those kids the care that they deserve.
