Question No 01

  • As a HR student how do you see the problem?

BK Steel Company is a well-functioning company. Earlier they haven’t any issue regarding the lack of labour turn over. But still they suffering that because it’s increasing that never happened before.

Main thing is that they don’t know what are Human Resources and they don’t have a qualified HR Department also didn’t identify what the reason of increasing labour turn over, No reason investigated.

They haven’t proper communication and discussions above the problem, so they never thought to take right actions to solve this problem in right way. Causes of high turnover within a company include lack of communication between staff and management, lack of resources and support within the organization for employees, imbalanced assigning of tasks and responsibilities, lack of appropriate training and a less-than-desirable physical work setting.

On the other hand high employee turnover can have a severe impact the business, both financially and emotionally. If suspect that turnover is an issue for  business, employer  should take steps to recognize possible causes of turnover, measure the turnover rate, determine turnover costs, and then address employer turnover problems.

My opinion is they must develop their Human Resource Department and must understand what can do for their employees. Because Human resources are the most import, most vital resource of the organization. Since Human Resources make things happen while all resources make things possible. Employees are not just people who are employed, but a resource like any other resources which are scarce in supply and can be developed. People that work for an organization, and Human Resource Management is concerned with how these people are managed.

However, the term Human Resource Management (HRM) has come to mean more than this because people are different from the other resources that work for an organization. People have thoughts and feelings, aspirations and needs. Most important thing is they understand the problem before others. There for better HR is very important for fulfilled their achievements with employee satisfaction.

So I think right HR process is valuable to this organization to do more to their employees and change their attitudes and create better feeling of their mind of this organization.

  • What would have been the role of the Personnel Department, including the Personal Manager in preventing the loss of loyal and senior workers?

The long-term success of any company depends heavily upon the quality of its employees and employee loyalty. Employee loyalty results in positive financial outcomes, it is rather another to count those outcomes.

In this case we can see Personal Department & Management didn’t act on those things for their employees. BK Steel had a very good market in industry but unfortunately labour turnover is increasing because of such weaknesses the organization. There for we must understand what is Personal Management and how it helps to preventing loss of loyalty of senior workers in BK Steel Industry.
