If Everyone Cared

Nickelback's song If Everyone Cared has a lot of different ways that it can be interpreted. First you could say that this song is a very religious. With lines like "Singing Amen, I'm alive" obviously Amen is a religious term which leads people to think that this song is about God. Another part is the chorus "If everyone cared and nobody cried, If everyone loved and nobody lied, If everyone shared and swallowed their pride, We'd see the day when nobody died." If people cared and believed, lived by the way of God, then the whole world would be better place and more peaceful place. You can also see how this song could be about being in love. With lines like "I never dreamed that you'd be mine, but here we are, we're here tonight." It sounds like they are singing about a chance that they get, to be with a girl and how their dreams are coming true. Also later in the song the verse "And as we lie beneath the stars, We realize how small we are, If they could love like you and me Imagine what the world could be. Once again you get confused because it makes you think that this about two people being in love but then you could take the lyrics as a person looking into the heavens at God and saying if other people loved and cared as much and me and you they world would be a great place. Thought this song you also see a world peace issue being raised. The music video to this song makes you think that it's a song about world peace. It doesn't matter what the music video makes you think this song should mean whatever you feel from it. If you think its about God or love or world peace then let it mean that to you.
