Running head: IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR FRIAR TUCKER GALLERIA PROJECT

Implementation Plan for Friar Tucker Galleria

Implementation Plan for Friar Tucker Galleria

The one thing all successful projects have in common is a good plan (University of Phoenix, 2007). This has been repeated over and over again during classroom study and benchmarking. Friar Tucker International understands the concept of a successful implementation plan lending itself to a wonderful project outcome. During this paper, Friar Tucker will show different aspects that must be addressed to complete a project successfully.

To Begin, Friar Tucker will first have to look at the makeup of their company before an implementation process can be put into place. Friar Tucker will show that based on current company strategy, this particular project/implementation process will best suit them. Next, actual deliverables, timelines, and those responsible for the deliverables will be addressed and broke down. And finally; because the nature of projects lend themselves to problems, Friar Tucker will conduct a Risk Assessment Matrix. This will be where Friar Tucker analyzes risks, shortfalls, and consequences that come with each deliverable of the project. Overall, Friar Tucker will piece together an implementation process that will enable Friar Tucker to achieve a successful project.

Friar Tucker's Strategy

Friar Tucker International is a hospitality services chain with 1200 employees, and generates more than 300 million dollars in revenue each year. The majority of Friar Tucker's revenue comes from the 35 entertainment and cuisine businesses they manage. Sport's Entertainment and Cuisine establishments lead the way in revenue with 101 and 97 million dollars, followed closely by family establishments with 92 million dollars. Finally; Friar Tucker does a play a small role with subcontracted work, and generates around 15 million dollars in revenue (University of Phoenix, 2007).

"To be among the top 10 hospitality service providers in family entertainment business, based on our superior service levels and innovative marketing" (University of Phoenix, 2007, pg 3). This as stated in the simulation is Friar Tucker's vision statement. This vision statement correlates well with the company's mission statement which is, "to attract more visitors and customers through food and entertainment facilities, and ensure a great family experience" (University of Phoenix, 2007, pg 3). In order for Friar Tucker to make their mission statement real and continue to strive for the company's overall mission, Friar Tucker must begin expanding into other areas. Ricardo Bellini Chief Executive Officer for Friar Tucker has big ideas for expanding the company. The project is called Galleria, and would put more emphasis on the entertainment aspects of Friar Tucker. Some ideas Bellini has developed are movie theatres, bowling alleys, pool tables, and a fitness center. Although these are big ideas and would require outsourcing to make them functional, the ideas are well inline with the company's strategic goals as well as striving toward the mission and overall vision of the company.

Unique Implementation Plan for Completing the Galleria Project

The thoughts and ideas for the Galleria Project are enormous, and if accomplished successfully will put Friar Tucker International at the forefront of the hospitality service industry (University of Phoenix, 2007). There are many deliverables planned for Project Galleria, as well as timelines and those ultimately responsible for the deliverable. These lists can be seen in Table 1, Optimal Solution Implementation Plan. All deliverables and timelines can be easily mapped out and visually shown. However, one aspect of the implementation process that is difficult to account for is the unknown.
