Technology in the modern day world is a vital element in human life and without technology, the world would seamlessly be of many impossibilities. For instance, traveling to keep in touch with family or friends or simply the finding the cure for several ailments that plague the earth. To comprehend the importance of technology, we should first define the term ‘Technology’.

Technology is the collective skills, techniques or methodologies which are implemented in the production of goods or services to accomplish a specific objective. These techniques include the use of gadgets or machines which make the implementation simpler and structured. Without a doubt, technology has had a great impact on the modern lifestyle in society. These impact attributed has been mostly positives with a few drawbacks. In understanding the significance of technology in modern life, the focus will be on the positive impacts majorly on the fields of human healthcare, education, and corporate businesses.

Technology has been of great importance in the health sector. Through technology, human healthcare has greatly improved worldwide. Most of these improvements are attributed to improved health infrastructure, better and swift communication and health emergencies and processing of cosmetic products for quality skincare. Moreover, access to health information to individuals through mass media and self-management implements that ailing patients can use in sickness management (Dima-Cozma, C., et al, 2014). Technology in health has aided in the elimination of ambiguity from billing treatment. The various software and hardware tools help to provide homogenous treatment thus reducing overall healthcare expenses.

In the education sector, technology has had a major impact in the fields of math, scripting and reading skills. All these are essential in the development of the education sector. It is attributed to the technological aid through the use of spreadsheets and other statistical as software to conduct complex mathematical calculation, use of search engines such as Google to conduct academic research and information and video conferencing tools which enable E-learning for long-distance learning purposes.
