July 4th stands for freedom of the United States of America from Great Britain; it is the birthday of the nation and of political freedom. Seventy-six years ago, America was a country that was controlled by Great Britain but the founding brothers took a chance and wrote the United States Constitution and freed their country from the control of Great Britain, causing a revolution/ rebellion. Of course people now know that Great Britain was wrong and there is no question about that, but before people did not know if this was so. A slave has to work hard everyday without payments and without any freedom whatsoever. Slaves have their own doctors, poets, writers, editors, orators, teachers and many other professions that they can well handle. White people argue that black slaves cannot prove that they can live independently, but Frederick Douglass points out that slaves are also educated and can take care of themselves. "What, then,
