Individual Assignment Innovation

I currently work for a small mom and pop real estate office, which are very successful and is also a very pleasant environment to be in. With real estate and dealing with different contracts, listing contracts etc it is very important that we know how to deal with this in an appropriate and efficiently matter.  However, recently the department of real estate has come out with new ways of searching for homes for potential buyers.  They have definitely re-innovated the real estate completely inside in and out.  They have a new application that can be downloaded on your ipad or iphones in which you can have your buyer or seller sign any and all contracts with just a simple touch of their finger.  So it’s not like before when I was a new Realtor; I had to print out the Purchase/Listing agreement, take it to the seller/buyer and had them sign the contracts with a Pen and now it’s all done electronically.  So no more printing, scanning and uploading these long contracts, thanks to the department of real estate it’s much simpler.

My real estate Broker (boss) is the one that has explained this new innovation to our real estate office. She has received training from a trainer at the department of real estate and then formally taught our office on how to use these several programs.  Another great program that was invented was the iphone app for the MLS (Multiple Listing System).  This is another app that can be downloaded from itunes to be used to make our lives much simpler.  With this App you are able to zoom in to a certain area (specific zip code) and see if there are any houses for sale.  This is such a great device and makes us less reliable on real desktops/labtops.  Everything can now be used through a simple cell phone or a tablet.

With all these new technologies that have been implemented at our work site, it shows that not just our office is becoming more in touched with our innovative thinking but so is the world of real estate.  There are many things that are being up to date and is more advanced-technology being invented that I can only imagine how it will be 15-20 years from now.  I also do believe that innovative thinking has been encouraged because now every realtor is more interested in how these new ideas and new technology will change how we do business.

I believe that the impact for these new innovations in real estate is for profit.  The D.R.E is helping realtors with these new innovations so we can be more successful in the market and ultimately earn more income and also to help the people that are in need of our services.  Even though years ago we didn’t have all these fancy gadgets that we have now and are helping our small business become more successful.  So with or without the fancy technology that we have real estate will always be around and hopefully one day things will be much simpler.
