Innovation plays a critical role in achieving sustainable competitive advantages and business success. Innovative firms tend to be more flexible and have a greater ability to respond faster to changes. One of the factors that can influence the degree of innovative behaviours in an organization is the organizational culture. Organizational culture is defined as the commonly held values and beliefs that affect the behaviours and attitudes of the individuals in the organization, it is how an organization generally functions and conduct its operations. Since culture influences employee behaviour, it can either inhibit or support innovation among the members of an organization.
