I never actually enjoyed reading books in elementary and middle school. This may have occurred because I have never found the "right" book for me. All the books I read were chosen by the teachers. I always read these books, but they were not the ones that interest me. For that reason I never wanted to read because I always assumed that they all had the same "setup".
Intensity, however, would change that feeling in me forever because I learned there are interesting books. As soon as I picked up this book, I was hooked. I read fifty pages in the first night alone! It is the best book I have read to date. However, I am sure it will not be for long because I plan to keep reading.
Dean Koontz is a renowned author by New York Times and known for his vivid details and multiple perceptions of his characters in the stories. He tells the story through one character, such as a victim, and then he will give another perception of the same event through the eyes of a murderer.
This is the best book that I have ever read, and answers why I chose to complete a Book Talk. A Book Talk is an excellent way to describe what one really enjoys which is true for me. The Book Talk can be described as a verbal presentation of the themes, central issues, and conflicts. I also give details about the characters by describing them in my project. This is the perfect project for any book since it portrays all parts of it.
Everything in my rubric is represented because I will be talking about it in my speech. No other project is good enough for Intensity because all of the other projects do not cover it as well. A Book Talk is thorough and covers everything needed for such an awesome book. Since a Book Talk covers all materials in a speech that is shared to the class, one must have confidence and passion about their book; this is very true for me!
