Internet and IPods drastic arrival to the world has affected our civilization in numerous habits. I believe that the internet and iPods don't have a positive effect on the societal aptitude in our youth today.

The internet has become a tool that many reach out to for information and knowledge. Yet the internet is being abused in this day in age and I feel that it isn't producing a positive effect on our society's youth. As stated in Source B, the internet has had significant increase in misery and loneliness and shows a decline in psychological well being. Use of internet is affecting our youth because it is providing an open platform to view and access anything and everything. Constant long hours of playing games and searching explicit websites have led to extensive loneliness. Source F states the minutes per day used by an internet user in different scenarios compared to those who don't use internet and it shows a decrease in time depleted with the family and social activities, by at least 120 minutes a day. The internet is a type of technology that allows everyone to access anything, our youth and our society today is constantly using internet in harsh ways such as forming sites and chat rooms where you can explicitly sell your body in form of entertainment. Pornography is spreading all throughout the internet and allowing people find ways to make money and receive pleasure. Statistic show that '' global revenues from pornography is estimated to be about $57 billion a year.'' Pornography makes more money then all major television networks and every professional sport franchise. Don't you think that our youth is being exposed to the wrong perspectives in life? Internet is a growing media technology , even cell phones now a days offer internet , which explains the reasons why many cell phone companies advertise internet applications and easy to access internet on phones. I believe that the internet can be used for many great reasons but at the same time the internet has become a device that has seemed to take drastic roles in a negative form.

IPod are another technological device that seems to be in everyone's possession now a day. IPod is a portable music device no larger than the palm of your hand. With the touch of a button you can upload thousands of songs, videos, and images off your computer. To get these songs downloaded you need to access the computer and a website that charges money for each song. Meaning a lot of illegal work is being done. Stated by Source E '' interactions between
