The Iraq War has been the basis of several predicaments for the United States. The troops of the United States should withdraw immediately to prevent or solve problems produced by this war. Since March 20 of 2003, America has attempted to become victorious in a war it may not even succeed in. America's choice to stay in Iraq has caused it to be agonized with many unnecessary conflicts including the earning of a bad reputation, economic hardships, and the deaths of many. Though some may consider these predicaments as "not serious", they do not realize how the current problems will lead to even bigger ones later on including higher taxes. With such complications, America should feel obligated to withdraw from Iraq as soon as possible.
America should withdraw immediately from Iraq because America has lost its former admirable reputation. Ever since war broke out in Iraq, the reputation of Americans has been soiled due to the fact that they made some careless mistakes that were disapproved of by many other nations. For instance, when America chose to invade Iraq without the approval of the United Nations, America was faced with much criticism. By doing so, many nations lost their respect for America. America has been castigated also due to the fact that a number of regions around the world claim that America is only there on an attempt to claim Iraq's oil. Their accusations were not unwarranted because of the United State is dependent on Middle-Eastern oil. Because of these accusations, one can imply that the reputation of America today is not what it used to be. Some claim that our reputation would be redeemed once America succeeds in creating a democracy in Iraq. But the truth is that they cannot truly support that America will succeed in creating a democratic government in Iraq. With the reputation of America on the line, the logical choice for America should be to withdraw from Iraq.
Not only has the Iraq War defiled America's reputation, but it has also started to desecrate its well-being. Due to the war, America has been forced to live with an excessive economic strain. The cost of this war keeps leveling up more as America chooses to stay in it. According to CNN, as of September 29, 2006, over $379 billion has been allocated by the US Congress for the Iraq war.
