President Bush is responsible for the flooding in New Orleans.
President Bush did indeed cut funding for a levee that was going to be designed to protect
people between Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River. The levee however wasn't going
to be completed until 2015 and it was only going to be able to withstand a category three
hurricane. The President allocated three million dollars to work on a project to help eliminate the
flooding problems. The Army Engineer Corp didn't anticipate the breech of the existing levees.
Some people believe the statement above because many people feel they need to blame
someone for this disaster. It was a huge setback in America because so many people have been
hit by this hurricane. If they weren't there literally they may have known someone or may have
been called upon to help with the problems. How could someone blame one single person for a
disaster caused by nature? We can't!
One action I could take is to just try to get the word out by just posting a website. Make
people aware of the fact that natural disasters do happen and you can't blame one person just for
the sake of blaming someone. People use the internet all day everyday so I believe that this
would be the most effective way to reach the people of America. We all know people believe
what they read and maybe if I wrote this website, people would see my side
