Sample Paragraph for Compare and Contrast essay about Islam and Christianity
Here is a sample paragraph:
Although Christianity and Islam have many similar guidelines for living, they also have some differences. For example, while prayer is important in both religions, in Islam you have to pray five times a day, and in Christianity there are no rules about how many times a day to pray. This is an important difference, because it shows the different ways religions can tell people about how much to pray. Another slight difference between the two religions is how they are told to care for people around them. Muslims are told about Zakah, which is giving money or goods to the poor. The Christian religion talks more about reaching out to help others, but it doesn't have a specific rule about giving money. A third difference is that Muslims are required to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. While there are many cities that are important to Christians, there is no requirement for Christians to make a holy trip. This is another differences between these two religions' guidelines for living. These are three ways that Christianity and Islam are both similar and different in their guidelines for living.
