Jeffery Immelt
Jeffery Immelt is the Chief of the Board and the CEO of GE. Jeffery Immelt has
been a successful leader in that through
his hard work and constant pursuit of excellence GE
is one of the major corporations in the global scheme of things. Jeffery Immelt is a
motivated leader who is constantly keeping up to date, he is always keeping his finger on
the pulse of the global economy. Mr. Immelt say's "everyday I reads the Financial Times,
the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times business section, page six of the New York
Post, but then I read Modern Healthcare, Diagnostic Imaging, Modern Railroads,
Entertainment Weekly" and he questions interesting people on business and global trends
to help him stay informed. The fact Mr. Immelt puts forth so much effort to ensure the
success of his company illustrates how his personality plays into his business culture and
his methods of leading.
Jeffery Immelt is a calculating planner who is not afraid to take risks and shows
that he understand that what may cost you now may pay off in the future. Mr. Immelt has
done away with the long standing tradition of "bottom line results" and getting rid of those
who do not meet them. Mr. Immelt has shown concern that this may be poor planning in
that these sorts of ideologies and actions could hinder the company from taking risks that
may very well revolutionize the company and the economy. It is obvious that MR.
Immelt's plan for GE is success through
growth in the global economy, cutting costs and
