Mannings has prepared a job advertisement for the job vocation for the position of Marketing Coordinator. They have included brief background information of Mannings by mentioning that they are the leading health and beauty chain in Hong Kong. In the following, we will now talk about the job descriptions and job specifications in the job advertisement that states the type of employees that they are looking for and what the employees are required to do in their job role.
Job description
There are 5 points that they have listed in the job advertisement of the position Marketing Coordinator. To identify the job opening, the job title is shown in a big clear font. Firstly, there is a summary of the job description for the position. It clearly states the general nature and major functions of the job which is "to provide marketing service support and ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of marketing materials to stores". This helps to explain to the candidate what kind of job that they will encounter in the future.
Furthermore, responsibilities and duties of the position are also clearly stated. It states that the employee has "to deliver correct and clear promotion message to stores". Candidates should know what the major responsibilities and the essential functions are from the point listed above. The most essential responsibility of the employee is to deliver accurate messages about the marketing campaign that the company is conducting to stores and coordinate with internal and external parties in order to participate in appropriate marketing promotions such as TV advertisement and so on.
Moreover, they have mentioned that employees has "to coordinate with different departments and partners to ensure its participation in appropriate local marketing promotions", "coordinate with printers and advertising on logistics of promotion materials" and "to provide administration support to the supervisor". Based on these few points, candidates should understand the other important working duties and also the chain of command within the job. Although it hasn't mentioned the supervisor and subordinators of the position, it states that the employee has to communicate with other people which may include internal and external parties, for example, frontline stores, partners, advertising agencies, etc.
