John the Baptist prepares the way!

John obeys.

God wants us to prepare for the coming of the Messiah.

God wants us to repent for our sins.

One of the deeds that John the Baptist had made and I really have a high regard for is when he prepared the way. He didn't have second thought of doing so. He obeyed God and never ceases to follow. Like us human, we should also obey our Creator. We should have strong faith so we also never cease to follow God's words. Faith alone could bring us closer to God. And by obeying God, we create a connection to the Almighty, we create a deeper relationship.

"Prepare for the coming of the Lord". This is a symbol of cleansing our sins and being able to receive Jesus in our hearts. When John the Baptist, the messenger, prepared the way, is the time when he give due respect to the Son of God. He highly praised God above all. Now, it's the season of advent, the time for preparing for the coming of Jesus, meaning we should be free from sin. It's the time to give love, to do well, and to be good, manifestly. This is how we can prepare for Christmas. As John the Baptist prepared the way, it is as if he honored God so much. And that we should do, to prepare the coming of the Lord, to prepare and honor the Lord.
