Since my childhood, I firmly believed that I was different from the others. Not just in my thoughts and opinions, but also how I perceived the world. Being the misfit in school and even in family, it was hard to share what I felt, as no one could understand what I was going through. My only friends were, a piece of paper and a pen. All ideas, thoughts, opinions about everything and anything be it politics, religion or merely an argument over the cafeteria food, that came into my mind, I used to jot it down. Slowly and gradually, these bits and pieces of paper stacked up and the pile became huge. One day, when I went through the stack that I had been writing for years now, made me realize how much I enjoyed writing. This instantaneously drew my attention towards journalism
That was the moment when I decided to become a journalist in future, not only because I could think differently than others, but also because I had the ability to extract useful information from the most ordinary story/event that a person could imagine of. Another reason why I want to become a journalist is because I want people to understand the difference between right and wrong. Nowadays, people tend to believe "whatever" they hear of, without even considering of giving it a thought. I want to challenge the intellect of public, to help them think outside the box and have an opinion about everything.
