Kill Incarcerated Inmates
Every year over $60 billion are wasted on people that have committed a crime, instead of helping the poor with everyday needs such as food, clothes or shelter, saving the criminal justice system money instead of wasting it, and decreasing the repetition of a crime along with future influence on others. Incarceration has exponentially grown throughout the years, as the crime rates go up the incarceration rates also go up as well as the money that it takes to maintain them. Not only does it take away money from the criminal justice system to maintain the incarcerated but also gives them the opportunity to commit another crime by setting them free after their sentencing is over. Their influence among others will eventually spread and create a domino effect on the people. All of the effort taken to capture and then let criminals loose can be better used in helping the poor that don't have anything to eat or survive on.
Incarceration does not just consist of an orange jumpsuit, a cell, and food, but also security, transportation, and sometimes even religious activities along with healthcare. In California an inmate alone takes $47,102 to maintain annually. While they might not live the luxurious life they cost quite a bit to maintain. Not only are everyone's tax dollars paying for the huge amount of money it takes to maintain the inmates, but it is also wasted as some inmates are released back to join society. Although knowing that incarceration is not only a onetime thing the now free inmate is free to commit another crime. The second, third or even fourth time around the free inmate has more experience of committing a crime and may successfully strike again while getting away with it based on their past experience. Other times the free inmate is still not very bright and is convicted of another crime, whether or not they are convicted money is spent either way to take the time and allow the free inmate to receive a trial. A pattern then starts to arise as people get convicted and incarcerated while being set free later on just to commit another crime. This pattern will eventually be exposed to people, whether they are entirely surrounded by crime or merely witness it for the first time. The influence will further increase what is already high, which is the cost of incarceration along with the increase of crimes being committed.
Instead of constantly wasting sums and sums of money to maintain inmates incarcerated, they should be killed not only as punishment for the crime(s) they have committed, but to decrease criminal activity, increase tax dollars that will not be needed from maintaining incarcerated inmates, and using the dead bodies to donate and give the poor the gift of food. Killing the inmates for the crime(s) they have committed will send a message to everyone that allows them to realized that not only the government is taking a stand but also the people. From a criminals perspective it looks like they are playing against the world, the odds being on the worlds favor. People aren't only forced to think about choosing between incarceration or freedom, but life or death. This will lower the crime rate by having the incarcerated already killed and unable to commit a crime after their sentence is over, the lack of repetitive criminal offenders will decrease the influence they would have had if they were free. The average $47,102 spent on each inmate
