Korean War: Just Or Not

                        Korean War: Just Or Not

Korean War is not technically a war, it is claimed as a police action by western countries although there are at least 2622600 soldiers deployed in total and at least 1000000 soldiers dead or missing, both side were hiding the accurate number from its public (interesting thing I found, numbers got a difference between Wiki and Chinese websites) and 2.5 million citizens are dead because of this war, directly or indirectly. And the scars of the Korean War still remain even today.

The Korean War starts by the North Korea cross the 38th parallel and invade South Korea (North Korea clams that South Korea is part of North Korea’s territory in the institution and South Korea does the same). the United Nations Security Council recognized this North Korean act as invasion and called for an immediate ceasefire( NK ignored). On 27 June, the Security Council adopted S/RES/83: Complaint of aggression upon the Republic of Korea and decided the formation and dispatch of the UN Forces in Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force, with the United States providing 88% of the UN's military personnel. In September 1950, an amphibious UN counter-offensive( I call it counter invasion) was launched at Inchon, and cut off many North Korean troops. Those who escaped envelopment and capture were rapidly forced back north all the way to the border with China at the Yalu River, or into the mountainous interior. At this point, in October 1950, Chinese forces crossed the Yalu and entered the war. Chinese intervention triggered a retreat of UN forces which continued until mid-1951.(These above quoted from Wipipedia) But if you read careful enough you will find Wiki skipped the question “Why China entered War?”, and I searched Chinese documents and I find that although Chinese was NK’s supporter even before the war, but after NK invades SK and UN force deployed in Korea, China had announced something means “ We are fine with UN Force kick NK’s butt and teach it a lesson, but please do not across the 38th Parallel other wise we will regard it as an invasion to NK” and UN did not give a clear respond, after UN force cross the 38th Parallel and even crashed through the capital, China complaint and threated to enter the war if the UN force don’t stop but was ignored by UN. When UN force punched through the whole NK and reached Chinese border, China entered war.
