“A paper on Justin Trudeau, a leader of change”

When being assigned to write a paper about a leader we admire I instantly tought about Malala and Justin Trudeau. I asked my professor to write about Malala because of her impressive work as an activist at such a young age,but by chance one of my colleagues though the same, leaving me to reconsider to another great leader.  Fortunately to this occasion I got the opportunity to do a better research on my second favorite leader; Justin Pierre Trudeau. I now proudly admit that I follow  PJ on all social sites from Facebook, Instagram to Twitter and co. I' m amazed by the charisma and positive energy that man has.

This paper is about Justin Pierre Trudeau's leadership skills. Ladies and Gentleman let me introduce to you the 23rd and current Prime Minister of Canada and leader of the Liberal Party.

In 2008, at 36 years old, Justin Trudeau, child of the previous Canadian head administrator Pierre Trudeau, was chosen to Canada's parliament. Justin spoke to a low-wage, ethnically different region in Quebec, called Papineau. Beside being the scion of a Liberal Party head of state who had run the nation for an especially long spell, from 1968 to 1984, Justin seemingly had no capabilities for the position. Before entering legislative issues, he had held a progression of odd employments, none of them political: snowboarding teacher, dance club bouncer, whitewater rafting guide, bungee jumping, performer and camp advisor. Justin jumped at the chance to play up his work as a secondary teacher and his board situate on the Canadian Avalanche Foundation. He is a spouse and father to three kids.

Now knowing the background of this young prime minister, let us talk about his leadership skills and ways. I would like to start with a quote by Lisa Kimmel the president and CEO of PR firm Edelman Canada. She states “PM Trudeau’s leadership style is characterized by transparency, accessibility, openness, and a willingness to collaborate.”

For me, leadership is a process in which an individual, a leader encourages and influences a group to move towards a higher goal. The first thing Justin did as he entered his possition was building a brilliant team of people with extensive professional an personal experiences that would show The Canadian diversity. The goal of his team was to find real time solutions and the roots of the problems.

He is proud of his diverse team, in the year 2015 he appointed a 50% female cabinet, a Paralympian, a refugee that fled from the Taliban, a doughter of an Indian immigrant a millionare, a researcher, and all of them under one roof with the same aim, to help the people of Canada.

A good leader is open to change, the world is in constant motion, everything is developing and adapting. That is what shapes the politics of  Trudeau, for he wants to change the way Canada is looking at humane rights, society, trade, and global worming. Justin is a proud feminist and activist to the equal rights of all genders.

Apart from his good looks and charm, Trudeau has political pedigree. Growing up he had a role model to look up to, someone in which shows you would gladly like to step in. Pierre Trudeau, his father, was the Canadian prime minister from the year 1968 to the year 1984. Pierre has very popular among his people, having in mind that Canada is mostly the land of immigrants Pierre traveled most of the world, interacting with many cultures and religions. He tough Justin that diversity is what makes a country great, it is the people that make a soil to a home. I think that that is the reason why Justin became a leader, to bring the old values his father once tought him to the politics of today.

Justin is a man of the people. He is not afraid to show his imperfections to the world. Not like the convenient leaders, he is showing that he is one of us, the ordinary ones. He has tattoos, he fights to legalize marijuana, he is doing yoga and at the same time he makes quantum computing sound so interesting.

Trudeau has the power of listening to people and also doesn't mind engaging with people of different ideas and views. This is fascinating to me because most of the leaders today don't like to listen to someone who has not the same opinion as them.
