On Leadership
I am the current president of Baloch Council UET Lahore from the past year, till now. Baloch Council is a non-governmental, educational, organization and was formed in the year 2010. It is mainly comprised of undergraduate students from Baluchistan studying in various universities of the Punjab province of Pakistan. Its domain of focus is to highlight the educational crises of Baluchistan, carry out educational awareness programs in the districts of Baluchistan, assist students of Baluchistan in finding carrier goals and securing admissions in various colleges and universities of Pakistan and cultural representation of Baluchistan in other provinces of Pakistan to remove cultural gap and differences.
Previously, Baloch Council’s domain was only restricted to admission’s assistance in the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore but in my presidency it has been increased and the above mentioned scopes has been added. Furthermore, girl’s wing has also been setup during the tenure of my presidency, which I felt obliged to mention. During the course of last six months I have led numerous programs and events. Few of those are career counseling tour Baluchistan 2015, global village UET Lahore 2015 and All Pakistan Debate Competition UET 2015.
I would like to substantiate my leadership role in the Career Counseling Tour Baluchistan 2015 program. This initiative had been taken under the banner of Baloch Council in my presidency where I led this program. It was two weeks counseling and orientation tour program in four districts of Baluchistan (Naseerabad district, Sibi district, Quetta district and Mastung district) where major colleges and boarding schools had been visited and orientations were given to passing out batches for further studies and assistance.
Although every aspect of that position was very important to me but I like to mention resource management and planning as the most important aspect of that position. Because that program was very hard as we had to reach remote areas of Baluchistan amidst security risks. And the main issue was to efficiently plan the program and manage resources to avoid any difficult circumstances.
I would bring team work skills, compatibility and motivational skills to this program. Team work and compatibility are the basic keys for an ultimate successful group task or program. Motivation is required for optimal outputs in limited resources and hard conditions.
