This photograph was taken in February 1956, by Lillian Bassman. The major theme or subject in this photograph would be a portrait with beauty and peace. The main subject is placed in the centre, the photograph style is olden day 1950's, non-representational.

I think the photograph has been lit by natural light, but it could be flash. The artist has photographed this work to achieve blurred motion, in the background.

The kinds of shapes that are used in this photograph are natural. The texture that is used is smooth, shiny. The kind of space the photograph contains is shallow space (looks like you cannot see very far).
