Out of all the exercises we completed this year, the team project was my favorite. I was fortunate enough to work with a great group of my peers who genuinely cared about our task; something that is not found in all college projects.
I learned a significant amount about working with others through this project. In our group, each member had unique talents that they contributed to achieving the overall goal. For example, Lauren and Aileen had a nag for working with power point and creating business documents that were aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, we relied on them for that aspect of the project.
As a group we were very organized. We established text and email as our two means of communication at the very first meeting. Furthermore, Aileen created a list of contact information for when we needed to contact each other. Our group also succeeded in finding meeting times that worked for everyone. There was rarely a meeting in which all of us were not present. Lastly, when it came to meetings there was no time wasted. All of the members were on task and communicating with each other so that we could do well.
Honestly, I would not change or replace anything about our group. The only aspect that was difficult was our topic. While all of the other groups received clear defined companies, we had to work as a campaign. I personally loved this, however I think it was hard for some of my teammates to resonate with. For example, Aileen is from a different country so she had no prior knowledge about how American politics are conducted.
In light of the above, all of my teammates adapted well. As a group there is no doubt in my mind that we deserve a high score. I am now going to rate my team in term of individual performance.
I give Alex Mather a 10. He attended every meeting and was an excellent communicator. He took it upon himself to contact our Professor whenever our group had a question pertaining to the project. In the final presentation he had the hardest part in terms of content and he had a dominating performance.
I give Lauren Thompson a 10 out of 10 as well. She was personally my favorite group member to work with. She was always in a good mood and always extremely organized. As mentioned earlier she was crucial in creating our power point slides and other documents. Without her our slide show and documents would have been bland and boring (As if men created them).
If I could give Aileen Lee more
