Love and hate. Two contradicting words that are the very essence of everything that is alive. Both governed by the most amazing creation by the hand of the creator - feelings. Everything else follows as a result of love and hate, everything.

A person in love with something, or someone, is at peace with himself. He doesn't bother about the little things in life that make one sad and unhappy. In fact, he tends to relinquish the things that make others unhappy. The charm and aura of a person in love is contagious and the people around him can feel it. Love spreads more love, obliterates all that is negative and wrong, and makes way for beautiful things.

Then there is hate. Many people think that it is the exact opposite of love. I beg to differ.

Love is the presence of love, hate its absence.

Hatred is like darkness. It can always go away if you light a match to see what it holds in it. It's just a state of mind, nothing less, nothing more. Hatred originates from the lack of something that we love. It makes people go to the limit of insanity in order to achieve it. A person, who hates other people, hates them not because he has no heart to love, but because he is love with something that the other people don't want him to have. What one loves, one may not always get, and that might drive that person to hate the idea of the reason for existence of that very thing.

It is quite amazing how these two are basically two different sides of the same coin. Without love, hate would have no meaning. And without hate, love would lose its purpose.

One cannot just love, or just hate. There is a meaning to everything in life and these contradicting words are the meaning to each other.
