EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The topic of this paper is on the pros and cons of being a good manager. The purpose of this paper is to inform the reader of exemplifying good quality management skills at such a young age. After reading this paper I expect the reader to very well informed on what type of skills it takes to become a good manager. The reader should be able to identify the obstacles the managers face and understand that as a manager your job does not always stop at the end of the workday.
In this paper I chose to interview an individual whom is a manager position that oversees employees that a much older than himself. This paper is divided into five different sections. Each section contains information that I felt was important to know in order to exemplify good management skills. The first section the reader will get to know the individual that was interviewed. This section gives the reader a feel of what type of person the individual is. The second section then goes into the challenges that are faced by mangers daily, although most mangers challenges differ depending on their job type. Then the reader will move into the third section, which deals with managing conflict. The managing conflict section deals with the manager handling conflict on among his employees, conflict between himself and his employees and conflict between himself and his supervisor. After dealing with conflict, reader will discover that managers also deal with stress. In this section the reader should understand how the manager deals with stress from the job and how to balance the time loss from spending with family with the time he has to spend working. Then finally the reader will come upon change. Change is the final section in this paper. Change takes place everyday in the working world. In order to prosper people must learn to adapt to change.

MANAGER'S BACKGROUND
After a long nights work into the early hours of the morning, he enters the office for a fresh start for a new day. As he began to start his day, little does he know that his day has started without him. The phone rings and the first conflict on the day come in; immediately with know hesitation he puts his management abilities to work. Delvin Simon a young man from the small city of Albany, Georgia started managing at the early age of 19 as a shift supervisor at CVS Pharmacy and now he manages an entire fleet of workers as a construction project manager for Department of Transportation for the State of Georgia. As a project manager he ensure all aspects of the construction site are built to standard. He makes ensures the performance of the technicians with a progress schedule. He also does a little of accounting by doing the budget analysis for particular construction sites that he is assigned to. His education and training speaks for themselves with his associate's degree in Electronic Technology and his training with the Georgia Merit Systems.
Manager's Interest
Being in management at a young age in his life Delvin has found much enjoyment in his position. He currently enjoys being involved in the planning stages of each task because with each new job, he has learned that you have to plan different due to the fact the no job is the same. Along with his enjoyments, there are also times when he is not so happy. When it is time to delegate the assignments to his employees, he faces the problem of always giving the most skilled workers the assignments because he knows that the work will get done and it will be done right. Majority of time the work he always assigned to the same workers.
CHALLENGES FACING MANAGERS
Managers face new challenges everyday. On e of the biggest challenges that Delvin is dealing with today is the small of amounts of work around the office. This time of year is considered a slow period for his company. This lack of work causes a lot of personnel to have fewer duties. He feels that it's more difficult to delegate work and keep each employee focused. Due to the lack of work another challenge may be employee turnover. "Personnel changes are made a lot more times now than in previous times." (Simon) An employee that has been working with the company now, probably will not be there in the next five years. Another major challenge that Delvin faces as a manager is the age difference between himself and his employees. Most of the employees that he supervises are many years older than him.
Performance Problems
As his years as a manager he has come across many different kind and type of people. After dealing with different types of people he notice that are many similarities in people.
