Matthew Morgan is a well known Deaf magician. He is married to Lilian, his "partner in crime" with 2 beautiful children. Morgan attended The Wisconsin School for the Deaf for one year before carrying on his magic career.
Matthew Morgan was born deaf in West Allis, Wisconsin in 1973. Neither of his parents were hard of hearing or deaf. Although 50% of deafness is caused by genetic defects there weren't any genetic defects in his families past. He doesn't mind being deaf, in fact he actually likes it and he doesn't want to change.
He learned his first magic trick when he was only seven by his grandfather. Ever since then he was hooked and could not stop. He had his first professional magic act when he was eleven for a church congregation. Today Matthew is forty years old and still has the same passion for illusions.
He is a very famous person in the Deaf community due to his magnificent tricks. His magic has been performed in all fifty states and in 12 other countries. His style of magic consists of stage illusion, magic, comedy, close-up street magic and balloon sculptures. He takes part in many different national and international deaf magicians' festivals around the world. Currently, he is the president of the U.S. Deaf Magicians Society. Matthew also wrote and published his first book called "It's Magic" in 2009 and even produced a magic DVD in 2001. A popular belief on why a lot of people like him are that he combines humor and mime in his act. He communicates in the universal language, that all can understand, of fun and amazement during his act.
Lillian Morgan is Matthew's wife. They met at the Ninth Annual World Deaf Magicians' Festival in Moscow, Russia. The first time they met, they just fell in love. In 2003 she moved all the way to the United States and married Matthew Morgan. Since then they have now been partners in their magic careers. He has 2 children, a son, Elijah, and a daughter, Samantha. They both share their fathers' love of magic, and the little girl also loves dancing. When they grow up they both want to be in the magic or dance field. They are a very close family and currently traveling the world.
