Mission Statement

Me Inc.'s mission is to become a successful sports agent and entrepreneur. We will do this by using our creative, intellectual, and people skills throughout the sports industry. Our business is based on integrity, assertiveness, and paying close attention to detail. Me Inc. will fulfill any hole in a firm's staff with complete confidence of doing tremendous work throughout the organization. We will always give 100% and follow honest business ethics.

Purpose - to become a successful sports agent

Business - using creative, intellectual, and people skills to get into the sports industry

Values - the business is based on integrity, assertiveness, paying close attention to detail, displaying confidence, and following honest business ethics.

Objectives

1. To earn a degree in sports management and marketing by 2008

2. Get valuable intern experience in the sports industry within the next year

3. Get hired as a full-time employee of a sports agency within 6 years of graduating

4. Become top sports agent in the firm within 7 years of being hired

5. Sign a first round lottery pick within each major sport (NBA, MLB, NHL, NFL) by fifth year of being employed

6. Make first million by age 32

7. Open up own sports agency firm and other businesses by age 40

8. Make enough money to retire by age 50

9. Begin coaching baseball for high school or college team within 3 years after retiring

10. Live peaceful, happy life in Florida or California.

S.W.O.T. Analysis

Strengths

Confidence - Me Inc. is very confident in our ability to do a job efficiently and effectively. We know that individual assignments reflect upon the company as a whole and that punctuation is key.

Learning from mistakes - Me Inc. realizes that mistakes do happen whether we like it or not. Me Inc. learns from these mistakes and makes sure that they do not happen again.

Creativity - Here at Me Inc. we realize it is important to think outside the box. Competition is fierce in the sports industry and we know that creativity is vital to the success of our company.

People Skills - We are great at making good first impressions, and in the sports industry first impressions are everything. Our extraordinary people skills allow us to be ourselves and instill confidence in the customer making them feel comfortable.

Integrity - Doing the right thing is very important to Me Inc. It is critical to build good relationships and alliances with other organizations and people in the sports industry, and Me Inc. believes showing tremendous integrity is the best way to do this.

Hard working - If there is something to be done, Me Inc. will not procrastinate. We will get it done quickly and correctly.

Seeing the big picture - Me Inc. always thinks ahead and thinks big.

Great listener - If someone is having trouble or has an idea to benefit the company, Me Inc.'s ears are always open and willing to take time-out to help.

Clutch - Me Inc. always delivers when the pressure is on. We love having the burden on our shoulders, because then if something goes wrong, the only person to blame is ourselves.

Competitive - We love competition at Me Inc. and cannot stand losing.

Team player - Me Inc. always puts the company first, not the individual. We work well with others and are not afraid to speak our mind.

Drive - As a firm wishing to be successful, Me Inc. has that internal, emotional push yearning to be at the top.

Weaknesses

Perfectionist - Me Inc. always likes things done right in a timely manner. We pay close attention to detail and do not like any mistakes.

Staying on task - Me Inc. tends to get distracted sometimes while working. Our minds jump to different subjects while working sometimes.

Liking things done our way - While Me Inc. enjoys others' input and thoughts, when finalizing a project, we like things done how we want them and presented in the way we like.

Outside Influences - Sometimes we tend to listen to others' opinions too much and let them influence our decision in a way we should not have.

Second-guessing ourselves - Me Inc. always seems to find something wrong with what we did and wants to go back and fix it.

Opportunities

There are plenty of opportunities in the sports industry. Yes, it is a very competitive field, but Me Inc. is fueled by competition. We strive to be the best at everything we do. There are hundreds of sports agencies around the country and virtually all of them take interns. There are so many athletes in this country and across seas that the opportunity for sports agents is endless. They represent everyone from the superstar NBA player to a professional bowler to a football player in the European League. The prospects are there, the hard part is finding that diamond in the rough. That is what a sports agency is all about; having that one athlete with great potential live up to expectations and everyone wanting to sign him. He makes hundreds of millions of dollars and his agent makes millions. It is all about how you present yourself to the client and offering him something different from the competition.

Threats

The biggest threat to Me Inc. is other sports agents. Every outstanding college or high school athlete has dozens of sports agents calling him/her day in and day out.
