Media Bias
In the case of the Schiavo dispute, the media portrayed republican senators as completely partisan and not willing to work with democrats on whether or not to remove Ms. Schiavo's feeding tube. The media also showed bias when ABC ran a poll that showed false results. Polls stated that people were against congressional involvement, and were for the removal of Schiavo's tube. Columnist Michelle Malkin stated at the time that respondents were given misleading evidence. These two incidents show that the media showed bias in this case.
During the tragic accident and the events there after of Princess Dianna's death, media bias crept into the equation. At her funeral her brother Earl of Spencer used the eulogy to blast the media and its aggressiveness in covering her love life. Soon afterwards in different publications and broadcast the media edited out Earl's aggressive comments, clearly another example of media bias. Even to this day there certain sites where you can't find the full text of his eulogy.
Bill O'Reilly who works for one of the most bias companies on TV today is the king of biasness. Everyday on his show he spins information into a light that is
conducive to his stance. The basic concept of reporters being objective in their reporting is no longer in his mind. An example of that was clearly stated when Mexican President Vincente' Fox stated that Mexicans would do jobs that blacks wouldn't do. The statement alone was racist in itself, but the fact O'Reilly agreed with him made him bias. He was bias on the side of the Mexican president and the fact is that he believed Mexicans were better workers.
