Confusion is somthing you will feel a lot
while watching "The Trial". Josef K wakes up in the morning and finds the police in his room. They tell him that he is on trial but nobody tells him what he is accused of. In stead of fighting against it, he goes with it. In "The Metamorphiss, the main character wakes up as a bug, and must deal with it and get through it. "The Trial" can be compaired to "The Metamorphisis" in a way that the main characters both wake up to massive confusion, and dont know whats going on, and that feeling does not really change throught the story.
Joesph K wakes up and cops are in his room. At first he thinks its a joke being played on him by his co-workers, but it is no joke, and he is informed that he will be put on trial, put on trial for a crime they wont mention. Instead of figting back and demand to know what he did, he goes with it, and just lets what happens happens. He does though try and figure out on his own what exactly he is being put on trial for. Joesph never really goes out of his was to figure out why hes there. He bassicly goes with the flow.
In The Metamorphisis, the main character wakes up to discover he has turned into a bug. He is, like Joesph, very confused and scared. He panics and thinks he is in a dream. He, also like Joesph, kind of goes along with the whole being a bug thing. He realizes there is notihng he can do, and just decides to go along with and to try and to live his life, not back to normal, but as best as he could. He dosent fight it and try to find a cure to get him back to normal.
