Welcome back. As you may by now have noticed, the site is back up and running - for how long is up to you! A lot of time and effort has been put into the site by quite a few people, and we're all getting sick and tired of other sites taking the content and passing it off as their own. I have no problem with anyone linking to the site, but I do have a problem with people hot-linking to the images, and even more so with people re-using any of the content and passing it off as their own work. If you see any content from this site being used on any other site, I would appreciate it if you could contact me and let me know the URL and page it was found on.
Please note that this is a free resource available to anyone that finds it useful, and that's the way we all want it to remain. This site is for YOUR benefit - constructive criticism is always welcomed as are suggestions and content to improve the site (particularly on handsets not already covered).
This site will not try to sell you anything (apart from the stuff in the for sale part of the extras section) but is intended to show you just what can and can't be done with some of the most popular mobile phones on the market today. This has now changed a little - the demand for guidance on dismantling handsets has driven me to decide to drop virtually everything other than the dismantle guides
This site is optimised for usage at 1280x1024 but with this re-write it should look ok at anything from 800x600 upwards.
Generally, dismantling phones is fairly simple, but care must be taken, and you undertake any dismantles entirely at your own risk. If you do decide to dismantle your phone, for whatever reason, please bear in mind that you will void any remaining warranty, and run the risk of damaging your phone beyond economical repair. By viewing this site, you agree that no-one connected with UselessInfo will be liable for any damage to your phone, however it is caused.
The site is set-up to be as simple as possible. No flashy graphics (but some of the photos on the dismantle pages are a little on the large size) that take hours to download, or tacky flash animations Ð'- just solid, tested facts.
Please note that this site is still being developed. Further manufacturers and models will be added over time. I aim to eventually provide a definitive resource
