"MUCH ADO NOTHING" MOVIE REVIEW
Ado
The film that I saw in class was called "Much About Nothing"was a famous play written by Shakespeare and later became a film in (1993) directed by Kenneth Branagh.
The main character in the play and the actors and actresses who portray them are Beatrice (Emma Thompson), Don Pedro( Denzel Washington), Don John( Keanu Reeves), Dogberry( Michael Keaton), Benedick( Kenneth Branagh),Hero( Kate Beckinsale) and Claudio( Robert Leonard).
The film is about a young lord of Florence by the name of Claudio who falls in love with Hero, the daughter of Leonato, after returning from the war. Leonato and Don Pedro play match makers as they try to get Beatrice and Benedick together. Hero and Claudio both plan to get married in a week. But Don John has decide to disrupt everyone happiness. His mischief plan is to humiliate Hero at her wedding by making her seem like she was unfaithful to Claudio. I recommend that people of all ages should watch this film . The setting was shot in the beautiful Italian Villa. The characters did a fantastic job showing grace, anger, and affection which made the play become more realistic. Unlike other Shakespeare films, Kenneth Branagh does an excellent job portraying Benedick but also helps that audience get a better understanding of Shakespeare work.
This movie is so hilarious, it gets you in so much energy. Much Ado Nothing is funny, witty, and brilliant the actors bring people that are usually bored at Shakespeare play to life and with more power.
