Music VS. Society

Stravinsky once knew hat music was a higher power than anyone could ever imagine. He once stated, "music helps the world in both small and large ways." He had no idea how much music bestowed to the world. Music can venture through many ways. These few causes can lead to major effects of the worlds we live in. Music can change lives and build futures through Music therapy, music lessons, and musical entertainment which can all contribute to a better society. It can change the community in ways people may not know.

In today's world, there are many exist. Autism is one major problem that may be helped by music therapy. "Music Therapy is 7the unique application of music to enhance personal lives by creating positive change in human behavior," says Dr. Myra J. Staum, director and professor. She states that music therapy has a wide variety of functions for both adolescent and adult settings. She informs music is effective because it is a nonverbal form of communication. As the children and adults listen to music, they seem to be motivated. As the music sounds, there is an effect of positive response. Autistic children may learn with music by presenting information into a song:

"Do you eat an apple?--yes, yes

Do you eat an apple?--yes, yes

Do you eat an apple?--yes, yes

and

Do you eat pencil?--No, no

Do you eat pencil?--No, no

Do you eat pencil?--No, no"

This was all put to an easy tune for children to learn both music and verbs (music therapy and language). Music may help a lot in the medical field, but it

can also give means of entertainment.

People always are listening to music no matter what they are doing. There is music on the radio, in movies, and sometimes even in our rains. Ludwig Van Beethoven always claimed to be hearing sounds in his head. He seemed to always know the perfect sounds to make. He intern made wonderful symphonies and piano concertos. Mozart also claimed to hear wonderful works of music in his head. The musical compositions seemed to flow from his brain through his hand onto the paper. As people see
