Music, television, and other things are a major influence on society in this day and time. Younger people are more affected by the influences brought on by some of the music and television programs of today. Movies also have an influence.
Music, television, and peers have major effects on our society and people. A lot of the music videos of today gives off a sexual vibe. A lot of the videos contain sexual images, sometimes talks about drugs and other illegal substances, and other things that most people, especially younger people, don't need to see.
Parents today have to monitor what their children watch, there are parental guards/blocks set up on so many different things. Parents try to protect their kids from society. They try to protect them from the music, the videos, the movies, television, etc., but why do parents have to go to that extreme? Why can't people be considerate of the younger generations and help to protect them. Yes, eventually their going to find it all out; however, with the pressures of school and life in general they don't need to be dealing with the pressures from their peers and the pressures that are brought on from society.
I think it's time for the people of our country to realize how our society is corrupting our younger generations. I mean, their are 5 and 6 year olds that can tell you more about sex than you would of ever imagined. They can tell you about drugs and everything else that they shouldn't know about at that age. What is it going to take for a change to be made in our society?
