My Believes on Teen Pregnancies
Teen pregnancy is one of the world’s most major epidemics. This reason being because many teens use it as a way to think of themselves as adults. In my opinion, teen’s pregnancy is a bad thing for our society as a whole. Positively, it only helps the population. My reason for speaking against it is that this is the main reason so many babies are killed due to abortions. There are certain things that can be done to avoid so many teen pregnancies such as abstinence seminars for teens, free condoms, and free prescriptions for birth control. If all these things would occur, the teen pregnancy rate would decrease rapidly.
Abstinence is the key to teen pregnancy being avoided. Knowing that it would not happen within an estimated eighty percent of teens today, there should be certain seminars and programs that set up for teens discussing these topics. Focus on Abstinence is a educational program for teens designed to help them cope with problems related to teen sexuality, pregnancy, and parenting. It also talks about STDs, HIV, and AIDS. Wait Abstinence Education helps with the same thing as Focus on Abstinence, but it gives opportunities to come to different schools, churches, and communities. These are non- profit organizations and could positively help with growing rate of teen pregnancy.
Condoms are a great way to reduce teenage pregnancies. Having free condoms can help reduce diseases and pregnancies whether it is teens or adults. A great way to stop diseases and pregnancies is to have classes that teach teenagers about the use of condoms both male and female. The Rap-it-Up program is a good way to teach teens how to prevent pregnancy and teaches teens how to protect themselves, and teach them the affects of not using a condom. Rap-it-Up is a worldwide non-profit organization, sponsored by BET, Black Entertainment Television, that music artist go around the world campaigning about safe sex about disease prevention. This is a great way to stop teen pregnancy.
With some teen seminars and condoms are overrated. This means that some teens do not take this very serious. When this occurs, birth control should appear. Birth control, also called contraception,
