Five years ago, I remember my town called 'Batroun' was so big and so polluted. I remember went the summer was coming the tourist come to the city. It was considered being the best places to be on summer vacation and to make whatever you want with the environment. In the city we having like 7 beaches; and there are all sort of places- big shopping centers, restaurants, and pubs - to satisfy every need of travelers. But my hometown, having a lot of problems, and all was going in the wrong way: people's was selfishness (because of the bad effects of all the shopping center), and the entire town was polluted seem the beach. For that five year ago, my towns make a move and worked hard to respect the environment more by regulation, amelioration the transport and organization the recuperation of trash.

The first thing my town did to protect the environment was to introduce new laws to prevent pollution. They regulated the use of pesticides and other chemical products for gardens. People in the beginning didn't understand with they cannot use this product, for that my municipality provided more information about how to respect the environment to the citizens. They also made a law about the packaging in the shopping mall; the mayor encouraging people to re-use the shopping bag, like a trash bag. I think this changed all the perspective of citizens about how to protect the environment around our own life.

After all the laws have been adopted by the people and justice, they decided to facilitate the access to less polluting transport. They were encouraging the manufactures to make a public transport service for the workers, by reducing the tax race to all the manufacture making this. Then, my municipality created more infrastructures to the public transport and reduced the price of ticket. I believe that worked because now ¾ of the population don't pollute anymore with their cars but take the public transport to go to work or shopping. They created a web site, about a social network for carpooling. The website consists of viewing the hours of travel by car the neighbors or the friends to be able to go with him. For example, if I want to go shopping in Beirut I can see when my friends go there and send a message to tell them that I would come with them by paying the cost of gas of course. This work has contributed much in reducing the CO2 released into the area.

After putting laws in
