My Jaw Surgery
Back in July of 2015, my dad noticed that I had a bit of swelling on the right side of my face in my jaw. Prior to that, I had complained about pain in that same area. My dad let my mom know and she called to make an appointment at the dentist. A week later, I went to the dentist and they examined my jaw by performing an x-ray. It wasn’t long until we got the x-ray results. The dentist said that there was a growth in the jaw and he recommended that I go see a specialist and he referred me to the Loma Linda School of Dentistry.
My appointment was scheduled for a few days later. When I went in to see the Oral Surgeon, he advised that I had a tumor taking over my jaw bone and that I would have to have surgery immediately. Surgery was scheduled for the next day. I could not eat or drink anything after 8 o’clock the night before my surgery. I arrived for my surgery and they took me into a small room and put I.V. into my arm which put me into sleep. Once they completed the surgery, they told my parents that they would send the tumor for testing to the lab and they would call us to let know the results.

They let us know that I needed to be scheduled for surgery at the hospital and that they were going to have to scrape some of the bone from my jaw and the area around it. I went in for surgery the following week on September 24, 2015.
It was 7 o'clock am when I left the house to have my 2nd surgery that was the most painful of all the surgeries that I had in my life. When I arrived at Loma Linda Hospital, it was a big Building, but it was mostly quiet inside the building. The Surgeons told me to get undressed and put on this robe. They told me that I had to have a needle inserted into my wrist to put me to sleep. I was watching a small TV while I was waiting to be moved to an operating room. They said I was going to fall asleep in a few minutes. Then I felt a bit dizzy from the I.V. they gave me. When it was time to get to the Operating room, the I.V. was already taking affect.
Before I knew it, it was already over. All I could remember was the feeling
