My Lovely Family

Family is always a hot topic because that is where we spend most of our time with our lovers. Each person will have his or her interesting stories about family, and I am also no exception. Between my dad and my mom has several differences in personalities and attitudes such as the way they teach kids or their habit in eating. However, the similar in both of my parents is that how great of love they give to me.

The first difference between my dad and mom is the way they teach their kids. My mom is soft and patient. When I rude to my friends, she would explain to me carefully and asked me to put myself into that person to understand how they felt. For example, in my fifth grade, I invited a friend to my small birthday party. We went to my room, and my friend praised my favorite dollhouse that I made with my mom as her present for me. After that, she wanted to touch it, unfortunately, her foot caught the carpet and she fell toward to the dollhouse; everything was broken. I felt anger, so I said some bad words with my friend and my mom accidentally heard that. She came in front of us and listened to our explanations. My friends said she did not intend to ruin the house, but I kept mad at her. My mom pointed out with her soft voice that everything happened unexpectedly, and I was wrong to have bad behaviors with my friend. On the other hand, my dad was more difficult and had a different technique, he knew my terrible behavior with my friend just because of a small problem, he forbade me out and confiscated my toys until I came and said sorry to my friend. Thus, dad and mom always want me to be nice to people, so they have different ways to teach their kids.

Another difference is in the habit of eating between my dad and mom. At home, my mom cooks and she has a long list of healthy meals for the whole family. Sometimes, my dad and I needed to eat a terrible dinner because mom said it was healthy. One day, when my mom had to return my grandma’s house to take care of her for about two weeks, my dad was in charge of cooking and it was awesome. My mom always wanted to eat healthy food, so fast food was no and would never be on the list of daily meals. In contrast, at the time my mom went out, my dad and I ate all fast food. For example, in the morning, we had the big breakfast of Mc Donald, then we had the hot dog for lunch at Costco, and we ate pizza in dinner in an Italy restaurant. In short, dad and mom will have different nutritional status.
