The article I read is "Does Neuroscience matter for education." This is an article that cover both psychology and education field. The writer, Francis Schrag, has an idea that neuroscience may help teacher to educate student. In this article, he main talk about how would neuroscience contribute to education field, and how will neuroscience change the way of teaching.

First, he talks about there are few educational researches did on the mystery of material basis of human cognitive. So it came out with three strands, "One strand employs new imaging technologies that enable investigator to identify the laboratory. Another strand investigates the molecular and cellular processes that underlie learning and memory. A third strand investigates the genetic mechanisms responsible for abnormal brain development." (Schrag, 2011, p.221) This three represent the progress of neuroscience in education field.

In his first part of the article that is neuroscience on education. He said that "Neuroscientists can provide scientifically sound general guidance for educator." (2011) It seem possible that psychology thinking can really change the way of teaching. So he stated Usha Goswami's principle on New philosophies of learning. There are four of it he stated there. The first is "learning is incremental and experience-based." The second is "learning is multisensory." The third is "brain mechanism of learning extract structure from input." The fourth is "learning is social" These four principles gave me a strong impact of my mind that study is just reading business, and we can do it alone. It is because I have the individual style of learning in the school of Hong Kong teaching style., which is just reading, reading, memorize things and at examination just write what remain in the memory on the paper. This way of learning require less thinking and judging, since the teacher want student absorb as more as possible in a short time, they just give out the answer directly to the student. So Hong Kong should consider this to their education methods.
