Was God always there when Elie needed him the most? This was a great concern to the Jews at the time of the Holocaust. Was God really there? Though this experience did God disappear when Elie was in the camps.

Elie attitude towards God at the begging of the book is he want to know every thing he could about God." One day I asked my father to find me a master who could guide me in my studies. Elie want this master so badly because he was brought up to love God and to fellow him. Also Elie believe God would save him no matter what. "One evening I told him unhappy I was because I couldn't find a mater in Sighet to instruct me in the Zohar ,the Cabbalistic book ."

A few months later the German Had taken me and my family to a concertinaing camp. Though my mother and sister didn't survive the camp I still trust God . Elie was put though hard labor and tortured. An example was running bare foot in the snow .After time Elie and the Jews began to question God. Some Jew would even question is there really a God and it there is why don't he save us. "I no longer accepted God Silence .As I swallowed my bowel of soup." Elie begins to believe did God disappear or was he never really there because of what him and him people had to suffer.

Years passed and Elie and the Jews were let out of the camps . But they weren't expected into the world after this .The Jews had no were to go ,no place to call home .But though this experience Elie never abandoned God.

Was God always there When Elie needed him the most ? I believe he was because even when it was hard to get though just because he survived
