Obesity is not the same as being overweight because being overweight could mean you have extra muscle, bone, or water, as well as from having too much fat. Many obese people who lose large amounts of body fat at one point may gain it back either because their eating more than their body can use, may not be getting enough exercise, and it can also be caused by alcohol use too. The way you eat as a child could affect how you eat as an adult because you could be so use to eating junk foods or fried foods you keep picking up the habits because you were never taught healthy eating traits. We are surrounded by things that make it easy to overeat and hard to stay active like people who are too busy to make plans for healthy meals, work desk jobs instead of more active jobs, and have less free time to exercise.
Obesity in America has continued to rise and there is a lot of concern in regards to the obesity issue. It is said that it is expected to rise by 42% by the year of 2030, but as of right now just over one third of U.S adults, which is about 97 million people are obese today. This is a frightening Projection to health of nation because there are ailments associated with obesity such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, sleep apnea, and more. Surgery may help people who have been very obese for many years or more and are having trouble losing weight but there are also other treatments, such as diet, exercise, or medicine. It is better to have an active lifestyle and plenty of exercise, along with healthy eating, because it is the safest way to lose weight, even though people find it hard to change their eating habits but you just need to be motivated to make those kind of changes.
