I decided to research Oceanography because, Ever since I was a little kid, I was fascinated with the ocean. Soon that fascination grew into a love for the ocean and its creatures. My initial reaction was to become a marine biologist, but once I found out exactly what it was they did it was no longer my kind of job. Still in search of a job that was in the animal and ocean field, I stumbled upon Oceanography. Oceanography is a low key profession, and does not receive much popularity, however it seemed quite possible that this job may be just right for me. Oceanographers, untrue to common belief do not only take pictures of the animals in the ocean, matter of fact there is much more work involved. Oceanographers not only work with animals of the ocean but also with the landscape, water patterns and contours of the ocean floor. Many people in the Oceanographic industry do not even work near the ocean, many people simply work in laboratories where they can collect information and make observations.
While conducting my research I discovered that Oceanography was not what I thought it was, I was unaware that there was so much diversity in this one job. Although there is more work than I had expected , Oceanography has its ups and downs just like any other job.
